ROBIN HOOD, THE WONDER CAT

ROBIN HOOD The Wonder Cat

This is the story of a lovely cat with the
name of Robin Hood. It is a female cat,
but she has earned the name because of
her specific behavior.

Born
------
She was born 15 January 2009 together
with two brothers and one sister a sunny
day in Spain. It must have been a sunny
day like almost every day are in Spain,
at Costa Blanca, in the Town Rojales
and the Urbanization Ciudad Quesada.

The event took place in a house owned
by an English family. They had two cats
before this happened and they were not
prepared for this event.
They are really loving their cats,
but it was a bit too much.

Who am I
------------
I am living with my wife only three
houses away from the English family.
We are from Sweden, but have been
living in Spain for 22 years.
We have had some cats, but that is
a different story.
Looking around
-------------------
Robin Hood grow up fast and started
early to investigate the area.
She was fighting with her brothers and
became as strong as them. She was totally
black like her mother and big as a male cat.
To avoid the fights with her brothers, she
used to sleep on a chair on the balcony of
our house during the nights, but she was
running away in the mornings.
We did not feed her and it was no contact at all.

First Contact
----------------
Our son Sven and his two daughters Camilla and
Mimmi visited us for a week in September 2009.
The youngest Mimmi, a real cat friend, talked
to Robin Hood and they became friends.
In no time at all, the cat became everybody’s
friend.
When the children went back to Sweden, the cat
spent most of the days around the house, but
disappeared somewhere for eating.
She never asked for food from us and
It took me a week until I found were she lived.

I’ve got a friend
-------------------
She followed me round in the house and when
I sat down she jumped up to lay on my knees.
Another week passed by and she became
a part of the family.
Then something strange happened
One morning when I came out 
childs Stocking was laying
on the balcony.
It was red and white striped and definitely
a childes stocking.

The cat got her name
-------------------------
The next day when I came out I found a
mans stocking and two days later the
second of the pair was there.
Then it was clear that the
cat was making raids around the area and
bringing things to the house.
I have never heard of a cat doing this and
Then she got her name “Robin Hood”.

Coming from were?
------------------------
She had a home not far away and got her
food from there.
I had to find her home.
I picked up the cat and went the street in
the direction she use to disappear.
She is a clever cat and wanted to show me
were she was coming from.
She walked some distance in front of me
and checked that I was following her.
The smart black panther was willing
to guide me to her home.
It was only three houses away from our
house she jumped through the gate
of that house.

Her home.

I rang the bell and an English speaking
nice lady opened the gate.
I found that this was were “Robin Hood”
was coming from.
They had six cats and she gave me the cat.

I had a small problem.
--------------------------
We were going to Sweden for Christmas and
could not feed the Cat during two weeks.
She promised to feed the cat any time she
came. “Robin Hood” followed me back to
our house and  the wonder cat was mine.
My Companion
------------------
Robin Hood is following me like a shadow
around the house. When I call her she is
mostly very close and coming like a shot.
She is doing her raids around the area and
Is bringing home things to her Sherwood
Forest.
After three months we have a box full of
different things she has brought home.
She is playing whith her things and moving
them around.

Robin Hood is very smart.

One day she is bringing home a glove for
garden work and the next she is taking home
the other one to make it a pair.
Most trophies are of fabrics and easy but one
Day she dragged home a big branch from an
orange tree. It got stuck in the gate, so she gave
up.
Why she is bringing all this home is not easy to
guess.
Is she bringing gifts to us, or is she collecting
it to play with?

Playing Hide and Seek
--------------------------
“Robin Hood “ is playing games like a child
and she is doing things like a dog.
We have had the cat for three months and we
are now in Sweden for two weeks.
Robin Hood is alone and I hope she miss us
as we miss her.

I will soon be back with new adventures
with Robin Hood.
